buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks

doug and i went to a roadrunners baseball game tonight. it reminded me of those 3-5 fun-filled childhood nights i spent watching the idaho falls braves padres chukars. except in st. george, they have huge fans blowing mist on the crowd! (if you know me, or if you've attended the st. george marathon with me in the past, you know that i love misty fans.) another difference between this and a chukars game is that everyone around me wasn't drinking beer. that's always nice. here's their interpretation of a roadrunner (photo courtesy doug):

in other news, after leaving the game i went to the church and practiced some primary songs. here's my question... where did "scripture power" come from? it's not even in the book, yet every primary child in the world now knows it. mysterious...

i hope you don't have to play the one that's like, "a long time ago in a beautiful place..." something something. it's creepy and certainly not in any songbook.

It actually came out 3 or 4 years ago..It was like a new song for the year..they seem to do that every year in primary, have a new song that is not in the book. I was actually the chorister in WA...when it came out. It is a fan favorite!!

Is this the theme for this year? Wow, I've been out of primary for a while, and so has Emily. We are uniformed.

Scripture power is from a year I was in the primary presidency though, 04-07 somewhere in there.

I remember in Rexburg we used to make a big banner for the back of the chapel with the theme, which thankfully they don't let you do anymore. My year it was "I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" which I remember cutting out each individual letter. Before there were Cricuts.
