save the rainforest!

what better place to spend the saturday before my birthday than the world famous san diego zoo? doug and i were greeted by this little guy...

who had an uncanny resemblance to this little guy:

but i would have to say my favorite zoo buddy was this little monkey. if i had a friend with a tail like that i'd swing on it too!

doug and i sure enjoyed the many ways to get around that didn't involve walking. like the skyfari aerial tram.

and the escalator-like conveyor belt contraptions.

my only regret is that i didn't get any footage of the birds that flew out in sync with the theme song of the chicago bulls. or the parrot that sang old mcdonald. or the middle-aged men who dressed up like cats and did trampoline stunts. next time!
