country girl at heart

doug got me carrie underwood tickets for my birthday and friday was the big night! i hadn't been to a country concert since brad paisley came to idaho in 2005. believe it or not, san diego has a lot of closet country fans. here's a montage of some of the highlights i got on my iphone. (in honor of the sabbath, there's a "Jesus take the wheel"/"how great thou art" medley/mashup at the end.)

it was quite the spectacle! i was kind of scared for the fans underneath the dangling pickup truck during "country roads", though.

billy currington opened, and i forgot who he was. but then i heard some songs. and remembered. here's a good one. here's a better one. here's a classic.

lastly, while i'm on the subject, if you're a mom and want to cry watch this brand new video:

and if you're a human being and want to cry, watch this one:

good concert! but that flying truck was alarming. also i didn't realize that "people are crazy" and "walk a little straighter" were the same guy, what a revelation.

Good to see you on the blogging world :)

I actually get a reminder of you quite often, because my husband is from Idaho Falls and everytime we drive through Blackfoot, I think- "I know a girl form Blackfoot :)"

Have fun at Carrie Underwood!
