if you know me, you know i am pro at digging up details on anyone and everything online. it partly stems from my journalism background but i also think it may be genetic. anyway, when i got my new san diego phone number, i set it up so all calls to my idaho phone number would be forwarded to me. i always get weird texts and wrong number calls from san diego area codes, but occasionally i'll get a wrong number call from someone in idaho. which is quite confusing for the person on the other end, since somehow they misdialed an idaho phone number and are now talking to someone in san diego. so usually i just don't answer.
late last night i got a lengthy, urgent voicemail from someone in idaho regarding something happening first thing this morning. most people would just ignore it. conscientious people might call back and explain the situation. not me. instead, using my various
stalking research skills and 5 or 6 different websites i quickly located the intended recipient and sent him the message via facebook. weird? maybe. but he immediately responded and i saved the day. see... creeping isn't so bad after all.
i'm considering starting a business. people can leave me a voicemail intended for anyone in the world and i'll deliver.
p.s. yankee candle.
day 134. still going strong. but i'm officially sick of apple pie.

Could you please find Valerie Bronson for me? Apparantly she used to have my phone number (although I've had it for 6 years now!) and she owes a lot of money to a lot of people who keep calling me all the time! Also, her son is ready to be picked up at juvenile hall. I hope she figured that one out.
wow, this should be a facebook commercial. what was the message anyway?
It's genetic.
You and your stalking skills.. haha.
i'm with veronica. what'd it say!! and impressive about the candle.
ALSO...the blog layout? new to me, but for all i know it could be pretty old, but impressive. i like the header up there.
kaitlin, thanks for always caring about my blog headers. that's one of your best qualities. it's only a few days old so you're not too late at all. photography by michelle v.
the message was to a high school kid who was being evaluated by out of town baseball scouts. they originally told him they were coming two days later but at the last minute changed it to the next day, first thing in the morning. his voicemail was full so they found my number online (not sure where, or how) and basically said, "he better show up, or else!" i didn't want to rob this kid of a future in baseball, a college degree, a good life for his kids, a good life for his kids' kids, and so on. they'll all thank me someday. or use me as an anecdote about an anonymous hero who saved generations of their family from crumbling into nothingness.
