so... marisalisa.blogspot.com is now dougandmarisa.com. which led me to ponder, where on earth did marisalisa come from anyway? after a lot of thought, i believe it started as a short-lived nickname by a very small handful of people in high school and evolved into a passive agressive mechanism to teach people that my name really is pronounced marEEsa and not marISSa. but i've decided to move on. partly because by now, either you know my name or you don't. and partly because it makes no sense to those who still think my name is marissa (marissalisa doen't have quite the same ring to it.) and partly because 99% of my posts are about doug. anyway, to celebrate my new domain name, i went to the beach.
nothing like a relaxing day on coronado. that's the hotel del in the background. i love coronado beach because it is so close to where we live, tons of parking, never crowded, extremely clean. i don't see any reason to go to any other beach. not to mention it was recently named the
second best beach in the united states, and the only beach on the west coast to make the list. yeah... i think we'll keep going.
