One thing about me is that whenever I cross the street, I just know I'm going to get hit by a car. I'm practically bracing myself for it. Weird, I know, and it hasn't happened yet. But I'd rather be paranoid than end up like this lady.
Well, today I was walking home from class, this certain way that I always walk, and I decided to cross the street earlier than I usually do. After doing so, on the other side of the street, exactly where I WOULD have been walking had I not crossed, a car almost hit a bicyclist, but instead the bicyclist swerved and and hit the car (instead of the car hitting him) and crashed to the ground. That could have been me! Luckily that guy was wearing a helmet. Bike rule number 1, use a U-lock. Bike rule number 2, don't try to bike around Utah Lake. I hear it's not as fun as it sounds. Bike rule number 3, wear a helmet.
Also, if your bored, here's one of my last news stories for BYU. Ok, so it's not my best work. I may have a little case of senioritis... Oh and courtesy to Doug for finding my story online. Didn't even know it was there.
