heat wave

just as i was getting used to the cooler san diego weather and preparing to take my light jackets out of storage for the winter, BAM! the santa ana winds came along and suddenly it was 100 degrees. and according to jack black in "the holiday," legend has it that when santa anas blow, all bets are off, anything can happen. whatever that means...

speaking of "the holiday," christmas is in 73 days. where did 2011 go? well, i've already kicked off the holiday season with a screening of my cleanflicks copy of "love actually" while sipping hot cocoa with the a/c on to give the illusion of winter weather. so, i'd say things are coming along nicely.

no one has time the week of christmas to watch all of the good christmas movies so it makes sense to start now. other items in the queue:

sleepless in seattle (it has a couple christmas scenes)
muppet christmas carol
the santa clause (which i just recently realized was a pun, not a typo)
the nightmare before christmas
you've got mail (i think this one has a couple christmas scenes too)
it's a wonderful life

various claymation productions
just friends
every harry potter movie
