see ya, san diego

as i was looking at the map of places i've lived on google+, i realized i'm pretty good about moving south on i-15.

so i figure at this point in life, i have two options: continue on south to mexico, or move a mere 2200 miles to cincinnati! i kind of like being able to drink water from the tap. so ohio it is!

doug was offered a new position within his company and since we have no serious ties to san diego (other than our fun friends and our fondness of the sun) he jumped at the opportunity. as fun as it is living in san diego, we all knew we wouldn't be here forever. so, to make the transition easier, and since i've gone my entire life knowing virtually nothing about cincinnati, i've compiled a list of cool things about the place.

1. cincinnati is only 100 miles from veronica, kyle, and little miss cora violet
2. there's a famous brady bunch episode filmed at this amusement park
3. its major league baseball team mascot is a little guy with a baseball head
4. 98 degrees is from cincinnati (and nick lachey just bought a house there)
5. this song. it's been in my head all day. thanks katie and doug.
6. their nfl team has cool helmets
7. most people say "pop" instead of "soda" (finally i can be myself again!)

and probably a lot of other neat things. does anyone know much about cincinnati (or cincy, as the locals and i like to call it)? let me know.

I've been there once for several days and thought it was a beautiful city. You'll definitely get four seasons - the fall is gorgeous. It's not flat - nice rolling hills all around. And, they're famous for these restaurants called Skyline where you get Chili "two-three-or-four ways." And that's all I know, but I remember I left with a very favorable impression. Good luck you two! Still hoping we get to see you at Thanksgiving. Come anytime that works out for you - we're always "open"...Cindy
